Yeah good deal, getting the manual definitely helped. Seeing as the 2016 and 2015 are pretty much the same very nice. Was this new?

Yes. Sorry to mention it is new. The dealership had it on the lot since it came out and needed new inventory. I beat them up saying it was going to be a pain to re sell being they only made 1% of the new fits in manual. Little did they know i found a gem

Purchased a new 2016 LX CVT in Rochester Minnesota. MSRP $17,525. Negotiated price: $16,399, including splash guards.

FYI, for those that are unaware, Honda currently has an offer for $750 down payment assistance for cars that are financed through Honda. If you were planning to pay cash, as I was, you can finance through Honda and pay it off immediately without penalty for an additional savings of $750.

Therefore, the real cost of the vehicle was $16,399 - $750 = $15,649. Minnesota has a fixed document fee of $75. Taxes, title and licensing fees were on top of that.

I have never understood the point of listing OTD prices. Or, for that matter, the point of telling us your OTD price when it includes a trade.

I think that's the second best deal I've seen on the 16 LX.

maybe because most people only care about the OTD price. I was hoping to pay 15k OTD with my trade for an ex and ended up at $13,100 OTD for an EX-L including the mud flaps, all season matts and cargo tray. I'm happy as I can be about the total price and honestly don't care what percentage of that was the car. I was less happy when my wife got her touring civic. She wanted the service package that included a whole bunch of prepaid maintenance like brakes, tires, and oil changes. I care that we paid $27,000. unfortunately it was the only touring available in the area and she didn't want to wait and they knew it.

I am very happy that you were very satisfied with the OTD price you paid.

However, the main purpose of sharing prices on an internet site is to give other potential buyers an idea of what a dealer may be willing to accept as a negotiated price. OTD prices that include varying trade values and varying taxes and fees do not aid others in their negotiations.

The exception would be sharing how much was paid as a document fee. Many states have great latitude in what they charge for doc fees. I view doc fees as nothing more than additional profit for the dealer. I guess the same could be said for other add-on packages.

As an example, if one were to negotiate a price of $14.5k for a new LX CVT, that sounds really good. But, if they had to buy a protection package for $999 and paid a $695 doc fee, now the deal is not so good anymore.

the OP asked people to list the OTD which might be why so many are listing it.

2016 Fit EX CVT in MSM with 6 miles,- OTD - $20,700
Before you freak, lets break it down.

I started off with the USAA car buying service, in the end, didn't really need to but it had a perk. I got quotes from Curry honda at 19,614, Carland at 19,818 and Autonation at 20,100 (atlanta georgia area) the Curry quote had a line that stated "MSRP W/Accessories". It was just for mudgaurds. I turned that around because USAA gave us a truecar quote with a protection package that i picked out that included Mudgaurds, allseason floor mats, and the cargo tray. I took the Curry quote and USAA info to Carland.

Walked into carland, said that we have already test drove fits, were set on them and were going to dealerships today to finalize pricing and that we were there because of USAA. We sat down and he gave us the OTD of 19,818 again. I told them that Curry was about 200 lower and included acessories and showed him the usaa sheet (curry never said this exactly, i pulled a fast one). He matched and agreed to the acessories. It all went pretty well, and we probably should have left to continue haggling elsewhere, but honestly, we were happy at that point. So, the MSRP with the 3 accessorries came to $17344.05. Add on tax, fees, title we get to $19,614 with a loan at 2.39% apr. Oh, also with the "lifetime powertrain warranty" this dealership offers.

Then, we got roped in. The finance guy showed us all the packages and add ons.... we got the honda care 48 month/60k mile maintenance plan for an additional 1145. The way we did the math to justify it is that it would save us $460 in maintenance, and force us to use a dealership (we wont be using that one) to keep the lifetime powertrain warranty in good standing. Jury is still out on that one.

Also, Carmax agreed to $1700 to buy our 2004 Toyota Solara with 210k miles that probably needed $5k worth of serious repairs to honestly sell it to a private buyer.

All in all, we are very happy, and are loving this Fit so far.

It's your car and your money, if you are happy that's all that matters. After all the dealerships have to make a profit . There is no free ride.

Yes, but having these posting a new buyer has a feeling what a "good deal" is. They can then move away from the dealer who only has "one price, best deal pricing" and go to a dealer that will budge a bit more.

Just picked up my new 2016 Fit EX-L last week. So far it's been awesome to drive!

1. White EX-L CVT, no accessories
2. Los Angeles
3. $21,000
4. Base price $19,190
5. OTD $21,171 (includes CA tax, doc fee, license and registration), no trade in

For those looking at the EX trim, I had a dealer quote me an unbelievable rate of $17,400. I'm guessing the dealers are clearing the inventory to make way for the 2017's so now is a pretty good time to buy if you were thinking about it.

New user introducing my new fit

2016 Aegean Blue EX sticker price with dealer extras (tint mudguards trunk tray etc) 20894. Negotiated price was 18000. OTD with fees 18766 after selling my 06 Nissan sentra put down 2500 financed 16266. Feel like I got a pretty good deal I actually feel I could have gotten it lower then that. I don't think the fits or small economy cars in general do as well here in South Carolina so I think the dealers are more willing to work on price. Looking forward to enjoying my fit for years to come already a huge upgrade from my base model sentra!

2016 Honda Fit EX CVT (New) - $21K (OTD) in NJ

Hi guys,

I am in a process of acquiring 2016 Honda Fit EX CVT. I have contacted six dealerships via e-mail and phone calls and visited three dealerships personally.

That said, one dealer has agreed to $21K OTD with following options after much back n forth with 5 other dealers.

2016 Honda Fit CVT - $18,600 (on Honda's website)
Options: Wheel Locks, Body Side Molding, Door Edge Guards, Moonroof Visor, Spalsh Guard Set, All-Season Floor Mats, Cargo Cover, Cargo Tray, Remote Engine Start System II - Options come out to $1546 (on Honda's website)
Destination Charge - $835
Suggested MSRP - $20,981

I am getting all of this plus taxes, DMV fees OTD at $21K.

Do you think its a good deal? Please let me know.

I think it is because other dealers won't touch it even after showing them Buyer's Order!

Update: I got it down to $20,700 OTD with all the options, taxes & fees with two dealerships but I went with the color (Passion Berry Pearl) I wanted so paid $21K OTD. I think I got a great deal because even at the end of the month and 2017 possibly coming out on the lot rather soon, some of the dealers didn't call me back to make a counter offer on a last day.

For us CDNs out there.

2016 Fit EX-L Navi CVT Mystic Yellow

Dealer Options (they did not want to negotiate much on price over MSRP, so had them throw in a bunch of extras, was hell bent to get something, lol)
Fog Light Garnish
Front Grill Garnish
Pull out Bumper Cover
Cargo Net
Cargo Box
Wheel Locks
Cargo Tray
Illuminated Door trim
Paint Pen
2016 Navigation Update
Rear Mud Guards
All Season mats

Came to $26,000 CDN OTD (basically paid nothing for all the accessories, paid MSRP with all taxes in), works out to about $19,000 USD.

Wow, that's the same price I was quoted for an EX CVT with no extras in Hawaii. And the dealers have been selling them like hot cakes at that price. Great job getting all those extras thrown in.

-Selling price $19,435

-$10,000 trade-in for my 2013 fit minus $4400 still owed to AHFC
-OTD $17,750 after all fees, charges, registration, inspection, and PA's ridiculous list of taxes (they even tax $5 apiece for "new tire tax.")

Bought this car in June 2016

1. Model, any accessories-- EX CVT
2. Location-- Sacramento CA
3. Dealer Price-- Sticker = 19435
4. Selling Price (before trade, tax, title, doc, etc)-- 17478
5. Out the door price-- 18447

Includes a $1000 credit I got from American Honda Finance towards my 'downpayment'. They were running some kind of deal that applied to me since I drove up in my 2014 Odyssey. I didn't know anything about it, but my super-cool sales guy brought it up even though we had already settled on the price over the phone. I was planning to pay cash, but took the $1000 and the loan, which I paid off immediately.
