Dull Paint

My Fit looks so...not shiny, even after a scrubbing. Maybe it's the color (Passion berry plum) If I compare it to my friend's Toyota Prius' paint job, his looks so much shinier and bright even without being washed. [You could throw a bucket of dust on his car and it'd be still shinier than the Fit.]

Has anyone gotten this sort of thing addressed under warranty?
Granted, it's mostly on the front of the car/hood area.

scrubbing can mean swirls which can result in damaged clear coat and thus loss of shine..

My modern steel metallic was dull when bought. Waxed with 3m showroom polish. Problem solved

I think (hope) the op means after a washing.

A treatment with a clay bar and a good wax job and mine gleams.

washing and scrubbing are two different things now. washing if done properly can maintain and make your paint look good. scrubbing on the other hand implies using force and something abrasive (probably even dish soap) which is detrimental to the car's paint.

right on.

and polishing (abrasive) is to get the shine.
wax (or sealant if polymer) is there to protect.

By "scrubbing" I mean a basic wash.

My Daughter has the same Passion Berry Pearl, and we used Meguiar's G18216 Ultimate Liquid Wax, which consists of synthetic polymers. No complaints!
