Voted "Y - EX"... I can't recall, but I don't think I've ever bought a new car that wasn't the trim I wanted and thoroughly researched. Come to think of it, I've also had to travel up to 70 miles away to pick up the one I wanted. If the local guy doesn't have it or not willing to trade, I take a hike and find it myself. I'd like to think I have a little patience and don't think I'd be happy settling for the sales speak of 'well, we have this other trim level on the lot' and feel compelled to take it. Just me...

I can't imagine anyone paying $$$ for a new car and not getting exactly what they want. Are people really that desperate to own a Fit?

Patience, your Prince will come.

bought new in august 2014. had to drive a couple hundred miles to get a white one though. being a honda owner for 25 years, i was impatient, and jumped on the fit when i saw it. i should have investigated the mazda 3...

Once I decided on a color I could live with, I had no trouble getting it. Of course, I waited until March '15, when supply was probably at its peak, and even then, the dealer had to locate a white EX MT at another dealer 200 miles away.

No way would I buy a new car and take something I didn't want. Not for that kind of money.

Yes, EX. Bought June 2014. Would have liked yellow, but it wasn't available. In retrospect I'm glad, as I love the red.

Trim selection

I really was looking for an LX with a manual transmission. I had to pay extra of course to move up to the EX manual but a lot of added features like moonroof, ETC. I am glad I got the EX now. I think it was worth the price difference.

Yes - EX

We "built" what we wanted, emailed specs to local dealerships, took the lowest cost quote and waited the necessary 8 weeks (impatiently). Poof!

Yea I wonder if it's because more people here on the forums are enthusiasts that we're more willing to wait and buy what we want being so specific. You always see and hear those that just walk in to a dealership to "look" and end up walking out with a car haha.

Circumstances also, I suppose, with some folks desperate for resuming transportation. We empty nesters were able to temporarily become a 1-car family.

That has happened to me three times in my life. In each case the dealer just happened to have just what I wanted.
Most recently was when I bought my '09 Fit. I wanted a Fit Sport MT in Orange Revolution Metallic. The dealer had only ONE Sport MT in stock, which just happened to be the orange one in the showroom.

I bought it on the spot.

I'm eyeballing the 2016, but am not sure if I should wait for "the one".

How long did you guys wait for your 2015/2016 Fit after you ordered it and I guess how long would you hold off for? I suppose I can always drive my grandma's Oldsmobile if I need to haha!

I bought a PBP EX and would not have bought anything else period..It was the only color I seriously considered and the EX trim was the best choice for the options I wanted. I would take any automatic Dodge Hellcat...

I got the EX-L I wanted but not really the color I wanted. I wanted a PBP but of course there were none of those. There was no "normal" color either and wouldn't be for a while so I ended up with a bright yellow Fit EX-L! I couldn't wait as I'm in a one car household, my Civic was totaled (for hail damage) and I have family flying in in two weeks.

I was adamantly opposed to the yellow on the test drive but it's definitely grown on me. Still got the trim I wanted!
