More Fit supply production problems? It is no wonder that Honda does not see great sales numbers this and last year.

Find a dealer and order one, with the stipulation that if it does not come in within 2 months that you get your deposit back.

I drove the CVT twice and yes, it is better than other car's CVT, but I still hate the driving feel. I would never get a CVT while I can still drive and enjoy the stick. You lose so much of the driving experience.

 

If I really wanted a stick I'd be looking at alternative vehicles. Honda doesn't seem to be interested in selling anything with a stick in the US.

 

My 1995 318ti MT with a 1.8 gets 5 MPG better city and matches my FIT on the highway..
But its all about pollution controls not about drivability the CVT and Auto simply have better sniffer numbers on the EPA test.

 

More evidence that Honda is not the company it used to be say 10 or more years ago. They used to be a company that made interesting, even quirky vehicles. Now their only interest seems to be selling SUVs to soccer moms.

 

It is coming down to this. I will plunk down some cash and see if any local dealer is willing to take an order. I might try another service, like Costco's. If this proves to be too much, I am thinking now of a Subaru Impreza 5dr. hatch. So, without derailing this thread, I would love to hear anyone's thoughts.

 

The next gen Impreza was just announced at the NY auto show, so you might get a bargain.
