That's an HRV, but a 1st generation 2001 model, likely Australian market. Not much in common with the current Fit CVT.

I have a manual transmission that blew up twice,,, following red-lines advice,, on the second go around I pushed up the support chain and got a "oops" oh yea you have to run z instead of x in that particular transmission. And no they didn't offer to cover the cost their mistake. Basically I had a trans with brass synchs and the oil they told me to use wasn't compatible so they pitted to death.

I've also had oil congeal mixing the same brand but 2 quarts were a year old and 3 were brand new.. Bottles were identical. Not redline but...

Your friend is right they cocktail in the plant all the time, doesn't mean they don't make incompatible combinations.. Luck of the draw. Probably OK if your paying attention, but for the bazillion folks out there who don't rally have the base knowledge of what to look for,,, mixing oils is not the way to go. IMHO and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

So after two drain and fills my cvt transmission is running A LOT better, but still has that weird hum/vibration, but its less. Im going to do another 54 dollar drain and fill this weekend with a write up and pictures. Its very easy.
