Larger fuel injectors

Has anyone done this upgrade or looked into it in order to get more performance out our our engines?

Not to discourage anyone, but it's more than just larger injectors. There has to be a balance ... better exhaust and the ECU for starters. There might be another 30-45 more horsepower there, but it has to be approached in a careful manner. I know that, and I'm as about as far from a mechanic/tuner as anyone can be.

Wow. Same number I read about doing my research. I wonder if anyone has done it.

I do not see much point. As far as I can tell the major limitation is the intake, which is quite roundabout with regards to airflow. Beyond that, you'll be adding a lot of noise, but still be limited by the throttle body opening. Fix THAT and maybe injectors would be an issue ... but I imagine the added power from a naturally aspirated fit would be minimal.

Is this bigger injector for stock or modded or E85? Stock honda fit wont benefit, cause your not getting enough air to add more fuel. Heavy mod like a turbo or higher compression and bigger intake, throttle body, downpipe, highflow car, and catback would benefit greatly. Unless you want to run E85, which you need bigger injectors because you need to spray alot of gas. Regular gasoline need about 14.6 to 1 air to fuel for holding speed, while E85 need 9.8 to 1 air fuel ratio. While upgrading to bigger fuel injectors, you'll probably need a bigger fuel pump.(depends on your mods)

No I have not seen bigger injectors, however, if you take the injector to a diesel shop they will be able to bore out the nozzle thus creating a bigger cc injector.

As far as I have seen, everyone running boost is using a port injection setup.

K-tuner is working on a tuning solution for the motor.

cold air intake and fully open exhaust will help slightly give you more power.

Civic injectors

I recently bought a set of civic x injectors for the L15B7. I'm running a stand alone ECU which can change the dwell time. That engine is rated at 205hp and people get it up into the 350s. I'm shooting for more than that so I'll be getting a port injection system designed to run along with the DI injectors during high demand...

That should also wash away and carbon on the intake valves (common problem on the DI engines) and give better performance.

Port injection benefits

Correct you are sir! We're planning to tune them to be always on at idle and up to 4,000 RPM just at like 5% duty cycle, constantly ensuring the valves have some atomized fuel on the back side. Above 4K they'll add fuel as appropriate...

It would be awesome if there was a simple kit that owners could add on their car...for the FIT as well as other makes.
I'm sure once folks realized the benefits, they'd sell like hotcakes!

Can the civic x injectors be ran in place of the stock injectors on a tune that’s using a normal cycle? Any advantages or disadvantages to this?
