Crack on plastic part of truck hatch
Went to close my trunk this afternoon, as per normal, as I do everyday, and I hear a snap sound. I look closer, and see right beside the honda emblem, there is about an inch or so crack. I pushed it back into place, but the crack is there, and I imagine it will get worse as i continue to open and close the door. I've attached a picture. I already have an appointment with Honda for Wednesday, as the car is well under warranty. Do you think they will give me hassle to repair it? A car that is not even a year old (2016 fit lx cvt) shouldn't
have this happen so easily. Its the cheap plastic above the licence plate on the rear. (not sure of the official name)

This is a known issue and others here have cracked theirs. Since you only have an inch crack you could try to remove it, add some CA glue to the rear of the plastic and then reinstall. You'll need to repair it before the crack gets longer. I don't recall the cost of the replacement part.
While this part looks and acts like a handle, it is fragile. I always close the hatch on the metal part of the door and not this plastic piece.

On a side note, does anybody know the actual part name of the plastic piece?
