Remote start: dealer option?

Is the remote start option something that can be installed by the dealer, or is it a factory option?

The official Honda remote start system is a dealer installed option.

Just make sure to specify to the dealer you want the honda brand one and not an aftermarket system.

I don't like the function of the oem remote start where it turns the car off when you open the door. Then you have to start the car again. Seems like a dumb design. I thought about getting it till I learned of that function.

Honda genuine accessory, or aftermarket.
Each has advantages and disadvantages. Weigh carefully.

I installed one Honda unit on a car.....this womans SON bought it for her as a Christmas gift. The ungrateful b**** did nothing but hate on all the things it can't do that the aftermarket units will do. She took it to another place to have our system ripped out and an aftermarket system installed.

I bet her son has spent most of his life trying to win his mothers approval, only to never ever in his life feel loved by her, nor even believe he is barely adequate as a person. I bet he's spent a ton of money on professional therapy.
