Look up hrv Selma and you'll see what the possibilities are. Crosstrek? Wheels, suspension, muffler delete, intake etc.

I'll buy any car that has flexibility for hauling people and cargo. The car must load a bicycle and easily park in a downtown parking garage. Right now the Honda Fit and Nissan Versa Note are the only cars that can do that. The Fit has better quality and driver visibility. Bingo, sure, I'd buy the Fit again.

I won't buy another as I hate the wind noise above 70mph.
It's has the louder wind noise of any car I've ever had, even noisier (on that matter) than my wife's Peugeot 107 that's much cheaper.

Sounds like a window seal issue. Mine is comfortable at 70-75.

No. Would never buy or recommend another Honda again.

I bought a new 2012 Fit Sport and drove it 4 years with 0 problems. Recently I traded in the 2016 and bought a new 2016 LX. Both cars were made in Japan. Time will tell if the quality of the new Fit equals the old one. I will post my honest feelings of the 2016 LX as time goes on.

One comment right now is the 2016 with the CVT tranny gets much better gas mileage than the 2012.

Also the LX gives a softer ride than the 2012 Sport.

We are definitely not getting another Fit to replace the GK. After renting a couple cars for short getaways we are considering alternatives to replace the GK (which isnt Honda)

I did the rental test before choosing the 2016 Fit:
Mazda3: better performance, less usable space, worse gas mileage, higher price
Nissan Versa Note: worse performance and handling, similar space, same gas mileage, anemic pickup, similar price

No car is perfect. Choice is all about compromise. What is most important to you? List the top 5 attributes and find the car that fits best. For me the 2016 Fit hit the important ones.

Well this is the 2015 Fit, not sure how long you've been on this forum, but we had 4 recalls in less then a year. There is even one issue that is related to alignment and Honda is not going to address it. In regards to the Mazda3, you are comparing a compact to a sub compact car.

I've got a 16 and I've been loving it so far. If I had to replace it I'd be willing to go for another fit. There are not many options at the price point that check as many boxes as the fit. IF I had more money to burn I might look at some of the plugin hybrids. Dont like the limited range on a pure electric but hybrid kinda has the best of both worlds. Sadly I doubt the fit will ever get that option as I have no idea where they'd stuff the batteries. Dont think sacrificeing the spare tire would be enough room.

I'm looking at a Porsche right now.
I've been looking at Porsches for almost 65 years! Right now, my +- new 2016 LX is a good car at a fantastic price, even though it is light and has a short wheelbase: the dream car would cost $50,000 more and wouldn't handle 8' 2x4s.
