OMG! Help me remove this glue

It will ruin plastics. Lighter fluid is much milder.

Can we get the Goo to Go?
I "Googled" Goo Gone..and found a couple homemade DIY make your own recipes, which seemed to suggest the primary ingredients in Goo Gone were Vegetable Oil and Baking Soda.

Although the original poster (OP) has probably resolved the problem by now, it is worth noting that the DIY solution while having some abrasives in it with baking soda is not the same as the clear and non-abrasive goo-gone product on my shelf. I would not want to have any abrasives on a plastic surface, although baking soda on a glass jar would probably work fine as described in the DIY article found here:

I agree that I don't know if I'd want to use baking soda on plastic.
I just question some posters that are suggesting Goo Gone is more harmful than using things like Gasoline or Lighter Fluid. Goo Gone has always seemed pretty mild to me. I kind of think using a product created specifically to remove adhesive is a better choice than adapting Gasoline or Lighter Fluid.
I'd just say, the safest thing is to spot check carefully with whatever you choose to try.

Here's the result. Thank you SO MUCH for your help. I left WD40 on it overnight and the next morning the glue came off easily and completely! Now I'm just left with the scratches. I'll try Black Plasti Dip.

Glad to see resolution.
Although too bad about the scratches.
And I learned something.
I have used Goo-Gone, but never WD-40.
Maybe next time I'm faced with a adhesive removal situation..or A.R.S.....I'll try WD-40.
