Last service before 36K
Last service before 36K
I took my Fit to the dealer for the last time (before the warranty expires) The last service was for the oil, trans fluid and getting the recall repair performed on the doors. I also ordered the wiper blades (rear one is torn). So far no major issues with the car and everything has been good for the past two years.
I got a recommended maintenance schedule from the dealer when I bought my car. It says to change auto/manual transmission fluid as applicableat 30, 60, 90, and 120,000 miles. I'm going to wait for the maintenance minder to alert me (code 3) before I change my fluid. 30k seems way too soon...
why doesn't honda give us a maintenance schedule. With the codes the only source of reference for maintenance that means we take it in for service every time a code shows up? Now, how logical is that?
BTW within 6 months (there after, you can purchase them) of the purchase of your car, you can order complimentary hard copies of the guide, owner's manual, and the nav manual

That means, if you are a 50 mpg driver, you won't see those codes for a long time.
just follow the maintenance reminder. no rocket science here.
this was suggested, since i was leaving my car there for 4+ hours, I figured let them do it. Id hate having to back a month later for another service.
that's for generic maintenance. I was talking more about known issues that I should have them check. Ill search the forums.
yah, might want to check what is and what is not covered under warranty.
TSB may/may not apply to your car and done at da dealer's discretion at a fee if your car does not have da flaw. im just saying dere's nothing else to do unless u specifically have problems. wear items are not covered under warranty anyway.

maybe not u, but people like u who expects dealer to cover everything are one of da many reasons why dealers get pissed and become arseholes. be reasonable with dem. chances are, if dey dont notice your suggestion during a quick test drive around da block they will tell u NO ISSUE and wont even look at it.
What did your dealer charge for the trans fluid change out if you don't mind me asking?
