Has anyone given any thought to relocating the HDMI port to the center console? I was thinking maybe if it wasn't a nightmare to pop that center console piece off and see if the HDMI port can be disconnected from the it's plastic piece...then getting a long HDMI Male to Female cable and connecting and running that to the Armrest console.

I hate lost cables being all over the place so this has been bouncing around my mind.

Funny...was just going to respond this morning as I had a sec to take apart that console piece and the HDMI jack pops right out. Ordered an extension cable through Amazon this morning so I should be good to go!

 

Yeah, it pops out easy and i was surprised to see there is just an HDMI cable plugged into the back of the port. Ive considered putting something else In its place as I don't use the HDMI at all. I haven't taken my center console out yet, it'll happen as I plan to add a dual USB port for rear passengers at the back of the console.
