My keyless fob is almost 3 years old and haven't not replaced the batteries. I don't put the fob on the keyring with other keys. I noticed that when I put it on the keyring, other keys kept pushing the buttons while inside my pants' pocket. So I put the fob in my left front pocket and keyring in right front pocket. No problem since. My other car's fob is 5 years old I did the same thing as Honda fob.

Funny story. I was in a little eatery with a few people, and someone's car alarm Went off. We all looked outside, but there was nothing going on. This kept happening, and a woman in the group realized that she had the fob in her pocket, and when she moved a certain way, the alarm went off.

You say that you can't lock or unlock the car, but doesn't your fob have the key inside of it? On my car there is a lock hole on the drivers side door that you can use to lock and unlock the drivers side. When I was doing my stereo swap and had to go back into the apartment to get some tools I would lock the car with the key because the battery was disconnected.

The battery warning comes on the right side of the cluster, on the digital display. It's a really obnoxious beep so you'll never miss it.

Have a great day !
No, I would suspect and depletion wouldn't be simultaneous at a constant rate. It would go to expect The Fob in use, being one you may be actually pressing and using, would be depleting quicker.

I don't know. I can't even remember now where I got the advice. But do remember someone once recommending that you simply replace both if you replace one.

Even if I'm somewhat replacing the battery on the back-up fob prematurely? I still think it's a good idea. These batteries are cheap enough that there isn't too much difference between buying one...or a two pack. So I just do it, as a matter of operational course.
