I would guess that the transit time from the Japanese factory to a dealers lot in North America would be very roughly one to two+ months. So yeah, it spent a lot of time sitting in either a Honda marshaling lot somewhere or in the dealer's lot. Not particularly desirable to be sitting around so long, but then you're not really buying a quart of milk where spoilage is an issue.
