I have similar feelings to my wifes 18 sport cvt.
I'm a manual guy...at least for small engine cars. But driving her new fit is just a joy. I actually really applaud the CVT logic or tuning. Car has excellent power. Its pretty quiet overall but I do think their is a tad more engine noise then what should be there, its not obtrusive, just more then I would expect.
