Whirring Blower

Hi everyone,

I hope this is the right place. I used the search tool but couldn't find anything that matched my issue.

My 2015 Fit is making a high pitched whirring sound when I activate the fan. The noise intensifies when I increase the fan speed, and is audible with the engine on or off. I took out and inspected the blower to see if there was anything lodged inside, but the blower was empty and nothing was visible.

Here's a link to a video of the issue - hopefully someone can diagnose it.

Thanks in advance,
Alex

bearing is shot in the blower motor probably, or needs to be packed with grease/oiled.

It definitely sounds like a fan. Have you tried pulling the cabin air filter and seeing what you can see without that in the way?

I haven't, but that's a good start. Thanks for the advice!
