Not the blower motor resistor..08 FIT SPORT

I did a search here for blower motor problems and it appears that most are of the "only works at top speed" issue. Mine's a little different. All speed works, but 3 and 4 sound like the fan motor is trying to shake its way out of the dashboard. I pulled the glove box, and I can feel the blower casing and when it's on 3 or 4 it vibrates like crazy, vibrating everything in the car with it. Does anyone know if this is a common issue? I'm just out of warranty (of course) but I'm wondering if I should just order replacement parts now, or if there's a way to fix the one that's in there. Thanks!

If your mechanically inclined pull it and see what shape the bearings are in.Check the cabin filter, or it could be something in the blower wheel? But blowers usally run forever I would check the price @ the stealership but look eleswhere for a replacement. Ebay has them for 50.00 new average price, check this out:

And type in "Honda Fit blower motor".

That's almost what it seems like. As if the wheel is off center for some reason. At speeds 1 and 2, I can still feel a vibration, but it's not bad. Just a slight thrumming...but when it cranks up, it's ridiculous. It is hard to hear the radio it's so loud. I was going to try to take it out...I'm mechanically inclined, however, I've never done a blower before.

Well that was easy. After I dropped the under-dash cover, the blower motor was right there. one quick connector and 3 torx screws and it was down. Too bad I had a replacement shipped overnight - I'm not going to need it.

When I looked at the fan, I found a 1/2 of an acorn jammed in the squirrel cage blade. Light enough not to matter at the low speeds, but caused all sorts of out of balance at the higher speeds. Pulled that out of there, put it back in and it's working great.
