Changing stock tweeters in 2015 Fit

Hey guys, I’ve swapped out all 4 speakers and am running them through the stock HU with the AudioControl LCQ1 processor. I have a pair of Infinity reference 275tx tweeters I’d like to wire in, which I believe I can just splice in since the stock tweeters are passively wired in already.

I’m confused because the stock tweeters are attached to the inside of the grill and have a mini wire harness attaching them rather than bare wires. Has anybody switched these out? If so, how did you get around this design to remove the tweeters and get your new ones in? I’m stumped.

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom,

Matt

Matt, you may have better luck wit this question on the "3rd Generation GK Specific Fit I.C.E. Sub-Forum". I swapped out my dash tweeters, documented here.
