My 2016 EX has a high pitched noise that comes from the engine area only below about 30 mph. The noise increases with increasing speed but seems to disappear at 30 mph. It doesn't appear to occur all the time. Also, I often have a cool engine light that comes on sometimes in the mornings, even though it does not get below about 60 degrees FFat night here.

I have no idea what causes this and would very much appreciate any advice.

 

The engine cool light goes off after the engine is warmed up. You could park it in the desert at 120 degrees, wouldn't matter because it still takes time to get up to temp.

As to your noise, if it's related to speed, my first thought is tires. Have you checked them lately? Need rotating or balancing?
