Rattle and Brake dragging

Possibly unrelated issues
1. For a week or so, at speeds less than 15mph, there is an obnoxious rattle noise from under the front of the car, sounds like a pop can on a string. As soon as you hit 15mph, it suddenly goes away entirely. I hadn't worried about it enough to do anything about it yet

2. Today, the car started making a racket from the front right wheel at low speed, i walked next to it and it's pretty obviously a dragging brake, makes noise when there is no pressure on the break pedal, and the wheel seemed warm.

Questions,
1. Is the first problem a known issue?
2. Why, dafuq, do i, have brake problems, before the first oil change. Am i alone in that issue?

If you're still under warranty, I'd take it to a dealer pronto. If you're not under warranty, but have one of the 2015 models, I'd contact Honda corporate and explain your situation. 2015's made in Mexico had rotors than would warp in record time as a result of poor annealing. If this is your situation, they might be able to offer some help.

Guess I wasn't clear, car has about 2500 miles on it, bought it new about 1 month ago, which is why I'm so ticked

Obviously under warranty, just wondering if it's a common issue

Common to get debris wedged between the dust shield and rotor on all cars. Your problem may just be a simple pebble.

Thanks!
I had never heard of that, never been an issue for me before

Definitely not a pebble, it's 100% dependent on wheel rotation, sounds like the dust shield itself rubbing the rotor, will update tomorrow

Did you even check or just make up your mind that it's not a pebble ….. pebbles, etc, do occasionally get wedged in there, and the resulting sound is 100% dependent on wheel rotation as well.....think about it.

You're at 2500 miles, go back to the dealer with it. It should be free of such problems for the duration of the warranty. Don't drive yourself mad trying to fix something they're responsible for, and(or) possibly caused; if you suspect the latter, go find a new dealer.

By that I meant position of the wheel in its rotation, something usually indicative of rotor issues

Anyway, last night it made the noise all the way home, including highway speeds, then right as i was about to pull in the driveway it stopped, and won't make it today

I popped the wheel off and everything looks fine

Dunno, can't take it to a dealer now, they don't fix problems it's not making, we'll see if it comes back

Perhaps a pebble caught in there and a slightly out of true rotor, out enough to make noise with something wedged in there but not without and maybe the pebble dislodged itself? Or maybe the dust shield is slightly bent? Can't really say without lookin' and listenin', unfortunately.
