AndroidAuto / Apple CarPlay cutting out

AndroidAuto / Apple CarPlay cutting out

Anyone have an issue with Android Auto / Apple CarPlay cutting out when hitting hard bumps or consistently rough pavement?

I tried 3 different cables .. one old, 2 brand new for my Samsung Note 8. All work perfectly fine at home.
It seems when the cable shakes it just cuts out. Cant figure out if its the USB receptacle, cable, or something in the HU.

If you are just sitting in your car with everything on can you make it skip by shaking the phone or cable? Try at the phone connector and the car one. If that is still good I would remove the head unit and do the same thing with the wires behind it.

I did have my AUX connector go bad in my Fit.

I've went through a multitude of cheap Type C cables, but I realized my issue was the floppiness of the 3ft and the 6ft cables. The daily bumps were making my phone disconnect.

I switched to 1.5ft cable. less cable to flop around. It's been working for the last month no issues.

Try out some Anker cables. I've had great luck with them as they are a nice tight fit on the port on my Motos
