2015 White Orchid paint issues
Paint issues
[QUOTE=john21031;1308811]Some, post pictures please. What is all this fuss people are talking about?
Answer: Because in order to make the Fit more affordable, Honda cut corners in regards to the paint quality. So the paint doesn't hold up well and any rocks/objects striking the car will leave a mark that begins rusting quite quickly. It sucks! (Will submit photos of rusted areas on my 2009 Fit soon, which formed not long after dings from pebbles/rocks/road debris, etc. occurred.)

5,000 Miles in, and I have touched up only 3 chips. Not seen any new ones in weeks. This is about on par with other cars I've owned, and better than some. Unfortunately, white DOES show every chip, bug, tar spot. That's life if you own a white car.
6K on the clock and no paint issues with my white orchid pearl 6MT lx. My dealer installs the 'clear protection bra' on the hood and the side views on all vehicles so I didn't have a choice.
Our roads are covered with sand/salt/craters and knock on wood but I haven't had any paint issues at all. As a matter of fact this paint seems far superior to my Ridgeline and Subarus, inferior to my wife's new Hyundai though.

Does anyone have suggestions for fixing paint peeling for the White Orchid Pearl paint? Honda won't cover the cost of repainting because the problems were reported a month after the warranty ended.
The paint is peeling on the roof near the rails. It'd cost ~ $2000 to fix at the dealership. Or would you recommend DIY? (And if so, any suggestions on the DIY process?) Has anyone done DIY and had success?
