Creak/rattle from a stop
Hello all, I creep here quite a bit but don't post. I got my first new car, 2015 Fit, a couple months ago, and so far I am loving it.
The other day I thought I heard a creaking noise when I was going through to get a coffee, and then looked for it. The sound ONLY happens when I am starting from a stop and releasing the clutch pedal. Sounds as if it is from the front drivers side, but I can't be sure.
I'm going in for some warranty stuff in a week or so (magic seat bracket ) but wanted to know if this is normal before I take it in and start bugging the poor folks at the dealer
Thanks in advance!

I've got a CVT so I'm not sure if this will help. But I previously post about an annoying squeak that occurred after stopping. After a couple of trips to the dealer it was finally diagnosed as a loose spare tire. A couple of others have posted about the same issue. So you might want to check yours, as well as the shelf that sits on top of the spare. Hope this helps. I was really bummed out about the noise but now that it's gone the big smile is back every time I get behind the wheel.

I really appreciate that, but that isn't the sound. I already found that squeak, ha. This feels/sounds like it is coming from the floor below the driver's seat and almost sounds like a heat shield, although I checked all of them and that's not it.
I guess I just have to hope that the dealer knows what it is.
Thanks again!

I believe what you're describing is known as "clutch chatter." Say that to the dealer and they will know what to look for.
I'm at 21,600 miles and my clutch has been chattering a lot. I'm taking it to a dealer next week and hoping they don't just say "that's normal" or "we can't replicate the problem."
Good luck!
