Shorted wire car wont start HELPP

any suggestions are appreciated.

I shorted the yellow and black wires behind my radio on my GK while i was installing an aftermarket radio. Irorincally enough it was when i was trying to shrink wrap the wires to prevent this exact thing from happening. As a result the car is completely dead. when i push the start button it ust blinks about 8 times and goes off. horn works, interior lights work, brake lights work. tried plugging in factory radio still nothing.

im wondering if its a security type thing, ive checked fuses, but i dont think a fuse would shut down the whole car like this.

any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

check the main fuses under the red thing on your battery.

i thought for sure it couldnt be a fuse. but once i got a hold of my multimeter, it was in fact a fuse. fuse box under the hood.
