"Honda will have their own app store which they will curate...."

Translation: "Overpriced, crippled apps, many of which won't work as soon as the transmission is out of park."

So it seems like only new cars with the updated head unit can run Android Auto? Our 2015 Fit's won't be able to utilize Android Auto with a software upgrade or anything?

I wouldn't count on the 2015 Fit getting this even if the hardware is compatible. Everything I've read has only mentioned the European 2015 CRV and Civic. I hope the 2015 Fit gets it, but I'm guessing it will be added on the 2016 model year. Also keep in mind this is Honda Connect running Android OS, not Android Auto.

That's why again people should never rush to be the 1st to get a new model. Manufacturers will always add new features after the bugs are fixed. I'll make do using the apps through Bluetooth/USB w/ my Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.

Aint that the fricking truth! I guess they need to subsidize it somehow. I'd rather pay a slightly higher fee for the feature if it meant it was fully capable without software or hardware limitations

It wont just play "Honda apps". Pandora isn't a Honda app but is approved. I'm sure Google maps will be approved and other radio apps.

Wow that home screen looks like a jigsaw puzzle, which exactly what you don't want driving.

Honda apps? Really? Why the hell would we want your crappy apps over anything in the Android market place? Oh wait some stupid, idiotic executive said that it would be a great idea. Don't worry, you will make tens and tens of dollars off this while us consumers will flock to other manufacturers that actually give us what we want (Android Auto).

A complete and utter failure.

Say goodbye to market share Honda!
