This is why you MUST install Tanabe DF210 TDF185 lowering springs!!!
3rd Generation GK Specific Suspension & Brakes Sub-ForumThreads discussing suspension and brake related modifications for the 3rd generation Honda Fit (GK)
Post your thoughts. So far on the Tanabe's for 12k miles and everything feels great. Not too much different from stock ride quality, just no body roll whatsoever!
Thanks for asking. I run OEM tire size, Michelin Premier A/S 185 55r16. No rubbing. All is well. I'd only go 10mm spacers on the rear tires if you want it more flush with the fenders without rubbing.
These are awesome springs! I'll be selling mine as soon as I reach 20 posts.
let us know how it holds up after a seaons in ur salty winter. i had tanabe DF a while back on my GD and as with junk tein's the paint cracked off in no time after salt exposure.
Sorry to revive an old thread, I just purchased a set of DF 210s for a 2015. Has anyone actually install these themselves? I got a really good deal on a set of four on eBay, slightly used for 100 bucks. Wondering if anyone’s had any issues in the snow, rubbing, or any other problems? I used to be a master tech at Harley Davidson so I think I can handle the job, just wondering if I need to use the spring compressor on the front strut or if I can just unbolt it. Any other information is helpful
When doing my lowering springs, on the 1st strut we did use a spring compressor out of habit. When we noticed there was virtually no tension, we rolled the dice and skipped the spring compressor on the 2nd strut .... and I'm happy to report that I still have both eye balls, and all my limbs intact. An impact gun helps, I'm sure you already own one
You'll get mixed answers on cutting the bump stops, I followed the manual and did trim off 1.5 inch.
