Tire pressure in ex bridgstone tires

I checked the pressure in my tires this week and they were all at 28 PSI. The sidewall says the max pressure is 44 PSI. I filled them up to 36 PSI. What is the best pressure to run on these tires?

James

The tire pressure is listed on the driver's door jam and in the owner's manual.

I am getting 2 mpg more by using 35 psi vs the 33 psi cited on the door jamb… FWIW

Does increasing the psi impact the ride (bumps)?

My wife actually thinks it rides smoother--I can't tell any difference.

I've also found that increasing the tire pressure slightly increases the amount of time between having to reset the TPMS. Now I only have to reset it about once a week instead of 2-3.
