14" snow do NOT fit...

I had made a few posts and need to reneg them. I was running 14" snows on my 2010 and was going to put them on my 2015. Went this morning. The bolt pattern is the same, but everything else on the 15 is bigger and my snow do not fit. They go on, but just barely.

I now need new snows.

Drat.

What about it is not fitting? Does the wheel face hit the brake caliper or something?

I think your post is a bit misleading without additional information about your specific setup.

I can confirm with certainty that the 14" steel wheels sold by Tire Rack for our application fit perfectly. My 2015 EX-L currently has Tire Rack's 14" steel wheels and 185/70-14 Altimax Artics on it with no issues whatsoever.

Ok....fair enough....my 14" steel wheels purchased from Tire Warehouse do not fit. The bolt pattern is the same, but the wheel itself does not leave enough room (maybe 1mm or so) between the calipers on my EX. The chap at the Tire place told me he was not comfortable mounting them as they were too close. I called the dealership and they told me no way, that the whole setup on a 2015 is significantly bigger than a GE. I called a second tire shop and they told me probably not. I called a third dealer/ tire shop and they told me no.

These are the same wheels and tires that were run on my 2010 with no issue.

Before investing in a new set, I'd suggest torquing them on and measuring the exact clearance. They don't require as much clearance as you might think (generally 2+ mm) so there's a good chance you're fine, regardless of what the "pros" told you thus far.

I have 15" steel wheels from discount tire that came with my snow tire package. The ex/ex-l come with 16" wheels. So i'm not sure why you would want to go all the way down to a 14". That would be way too much sidewall flex for me.

I chose the 14" sizing due to the lower cost and the increased protection the taller sidewalls offer from wheel damage due to potholes. "Crisp" handling is not normally among my selection criteria for winter setups.

Interesting! Tirerack has 14" as one of recommended sizes. I wonder if my old corolla 14" winter wheels could be used on Fit. That would be significant savings

They won't fit without a spacer because the hub bore is too small on Toyota OEM wheels.

Thanks!
Actually, I am using 14" 'multi-fit' rims on corolla for winter, they just might fit a Fit

Oh, yes, if they're aftermarket steel wheels the hub bore is generally much larger than it will ever need to be from my past experiences. If it's a FWD Corolla then yes the lug pattern should be 4x100 and they may fit.
