What do you think of these? They have a bit of a rally look to them:

For those of you wondering what the '15 Fit 16" alloy wheels weigh, my trusty digital bath scale shows 19.9lbs - I'm referring to the EX standard alloy, not the upgraded ones.

I decided to keep costs down and stayed with the 185/55/16 oem tires and mounted them up to the 16x7's. They stretched a bit wider, it is noticeable. I'm not a fan of the stretched tire look so this was a concern of mine. I think I can live with them for a while.
While I was at it, I left the 25mm spacers on the back to see how pushed out it would look. Too much for me. I like the tires tucked a bit more. Not nearly as bad as I anticipated though. I think a 12mm or so will probably be perfect with these +42 off-set.

Testing the fit before tires. I'm using a 73mm to 56.1mm hubcentric ring, billet aluminum. I know many shops use the plastic ones and supposedly the only purpose for them is getting the wheel centered during mounting and then its job is done. Some don't like the billet rings because they can corrode and get stuck but I put a bit of anti-seize in there. I feel more comfortable with a more durable ring.

I like the way they look, and that's what matters I suppose.

Mounted up, still has mounting sauce all over them:

They stick out too much for me with 25mm spacers. I removed them. I think 10-12mm will be perfect:

Good clearance on the front:

I didn't expect +42 w/ 7" width to stick out so much:

I think it looks really good. I'd like to see a GK5 photoshoped to look like a Group B car.

The 25mm spacers do seem to put it a bit too far out. If you install the 10 or 12mm spacers would you mind taking a shot of them before you install the wheel back? Like you, I used the OEM tires on my 16x7 Rotas. Not ideal, but it works for now.

Have you got any shots from farther back?

Yes I do. It has the 25mm spacers in these pics. They are not on the car currently:

I'll post up pics of the install. I think 15mm might be perfect, but it is a weird size. I feel like 15mm is too much for a slip-on style spacer. I feel like it could be too much stress on 4 lugs. 15mm is also too thin as an adapter. The adapter nuts need to be thinner (less threads) and the (factory) lugs on the hub will have to be shortened or swapped for shorter ones or they will protrude beyond the adapter about a full CM + and I don't want to do that. Even the recesses in the factory wheels do not look like enough to accommodate the amount.

I think 10mm spacers will be OK as long as they're hubcentric and proper fitting. It will be a slip-on style spacer and I'll need to swap the lugs for longer ones. It looks like there is space behind the hub where they can be knocked out without dis-assembly (fingers crossed). It would be much easier this way and I wont cut the heat shield/flatspot the lug heads or any of that crap. No thanks.

I'll do it right or not at all.

By slip ons do you mean these?:

Think it would need to use an extended lug bolt with an 8mm size? At that point its only a touch over a 1/4 inch further out. Not sure if its worth it.

Yeah those. The kind that slide over the lugs like the wheels. The adapter type have second set of lugs. I like the hub centric style and drilled specifically for the car. Whatever the thickness of the spacer I would extend the lugs the same amount:

I found these:

That's a lot of spacer though for 4 lugs.

Alright, so my 10mm spacers came in the mail today. The quality looks good on them, so on they went. It took about an hour to complete, including pressing out the old studs and pressing in the new longer ones with a ball joint press (he scissors kind, not the C clamp style). I ran into no problems. One thing though: It did take a bit of manipulation to get the longer studs in. I think if they were any longer, like for 15mm spacers, I might have had to disassemble the hubs. I am very glad the 10mm longer than stock studs went in without a hitch.

Here's the pics you asked for. The studs are pressed in and I re-installed the drum. That's anti-seize that I haven't cleaned up yet:

First I slid on the spacer:

Then I slipped in the hubcentric adapter. This positions the spacer perfectly centered to prevent vibration:

Next is the hubcentric adapter that fits the 73mm center bore of the aftermarket wheel to the 56.1mm hub on the car. I am test fitting it here but I put it in the wheel, then put the wheel on the car, not like you see here:

Remount the wheels and take it for a test ride. You can see the spacer in there:

I'm really happy with this set-up. No rubbing whatsoever and I hit a few G'd out dips in the road in my area to test it out. U-turns without rubbing. No vibration @ 80mph. I have 185/55/16 (OEM) tires with 16X7 (+42), w/ 10mm spacers rear only (effectively making them +32mm spaced rear wheels). Fender to tire ratio looks much better now. I'm done messing with wheels for a while. On to some new suspension changes. Dang this is fun...

Thanks for the compliments. I'm having fun with this little hard-boiled egg of a car.
