I know that this is not necessarily 3rd Gen specific question, but as I have mentioned in other threads, I am trying to economically, but safely, mod my 2015 Honda fit ex to 14 inch rims that will take a 185/70r14 tire (sidewall bulges from potholes).

I have found 2008/2009 series steel rims that have some shallow pitting on the rim lip.

Is this correctable, or should I, at this point look for a 14 aftermarket & just buy 1 rim at a time until I have 4? (which would beg the question, which brand/model would most likely be around long enough to do that (6 mos to a year or so)?
