Anyone use the Koni Orange STR 8750 1102L&R

Looking for feedback from anyone who used the Koni STR orange with stock springs on their GK? Are the 8750 1102R, 8750 1102L and 8050-1131 a direct bolt on or are modifications necessary?

I remember JHN was one of the early adopters to them but he changed out the springs as well: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...-my-15-ex.html

Too bad the pictures no longer work, and he's moved on from the Fit. I don't recall he had to make any major modifications for them to fit.

I am running the 8750 1102L with Swift springs on my 2018 Sport. No issues and bolted up fine.

Thanks for the link. Everyone seems to be using lowering springs. Not sure if they will work with the OEM stock height?

The rear upper shock mounts sit several inches higher than they do in the GE8, which is accomdated for with the OE shocks by having a longer rod (the shock body is almost identical in length comparing GE to GK). The effective working length between the two is essentially the same. A shorter spring would likely be best, as the shorter rod length of the GE-spec shock reduces the axle droop, but there is only about a half inch difference between the GK and GE OE rear springs. I measured all of this when we swapped GK OE struts/shocks/springs into our GE8, and wrote a short thread about it. That being said, the best solution is to use springs that have a rate that is paired with the Koni damping/rebound characteristics compared to stock.
