2015 Honda Fit Start/Stop Button Replacement Help
Hello,
Thanks in advance for any input.
2015 Fit, having issues starting, especially turning off, dealership diagnosed start/stop button. I am a DIY guy and got the button out. Replaced with new one and then again with old one. No start. I am just getting six beeps with green light blinking on both buttons.
I have radio and some other accessories I needed to disconnect to get access to button still disconnected could that be the issue? any help would be appreciated. Before I disconnected the button I was still able to start the car after several tries. Now nothing. The key fob is being recognized with door locks. And I disconnected and reconnected battery. Thanks again

Welcome. The pushbutton start GK5s have had problems with both the starter and the start switch. I've long theorized that the circuit design is not robust enough to handle the initial load, and eventually, one burns out, then the other. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the key start models, perhaps because the circuit is completed electrically with the key.
Did the dealer actually test your starter (it would be indicated as such on the repair order)? I'm wondering if they just assumed it was the switch because both are suspect.

Thanks for the reply,
Well I specifically asked about the starter when they diagnosed the button, the dealership confirmed button. Would that be consistent with the trouble of stopping? Nevertheless I will have my battery tested. The procedure I followed was this Youtube video,
He experienced the exact same problem I am having in replacement. Perhaps its the battery, I will update,
