Im a Noob with questions! lol

Alright im wondering the most WHP everyone thinks can be achieved with the Fit while leaving it N/A with stuff like full exhaust intake manifold etc..
Im thinking about ordering one! And yes i do know that these cars are not exactly fast or made to be fast right out of the box.. just curious to any reports of good WHP while still N/A

W/ or w/o an engine swap?
The mugen jp version is what... 150 or so whp?
If you want whp you should look at a different car! (I'm not trying to drive you off, but whp isn't what this car's about).

I'm going to guess that an NA L15a1 could probably get about 110-120whp
With intake, intake manifold, race header, cat-back exhaust and a decent tune (Neo AFC or E-manage or something) probably.

I agree with the above posts. I would not bank on hitting over 115ish with minor bolt-ons.

It really all depends on how much money you want to spend.

With the few bolt-ons that are actually available, NA you're talking maybe 115whp max.

If you were to pull out all the stops and build the bottom end with forged components, high compression pistons, massive head work (which would take a lot of R&D since no one has bothered doing the R&D on the L15 head), custom ground cam profile (which again would have to be researched yourself since no one has really bothered messing with the cam), custom intake and exhaust manifolds, bored out TB, and supporting fuel mods and custom dyno tuning, you might make 140whp.

You would have $10,000 invested and countless hours of custom fabrication, since besides a few bolt-ons, nobody has done this stuff to an L15.

Or for a total of say, $5000, you could swap a K20A/K20A2/K20Z2-Z3-Z4 into the car (which has been done and is pretty straight forward), and then the sky is the limit on how much power you can make NA with that series of engines. The reason being is because since it is such a viable engine, the R&D has been done and there are tons of parts and a wealth of knowledge out there on how to make 300whp from a 'K' series NA.

The most we've measured with exhaust and filter is about 4 hp at the front wheels. It cost him about $550 to get 3 hp.
In the good ond days when we spent $550 for cams, carbs, cylinder and valve workand exhausts we'd get nearly 100 hp more on a 1500 cc engine.

My 1600 cc CRX engine went from 115 hp to 170 hp on cams. cylinder work, vtec, and exhaust alone. Honda did it on the SiR. Of course, new injection mapping was done but that only to match cams and vtec. The SiR engine cost double what a replacement 1600 engine costs. And then of course there's the little issue of emissions; screw it up and the feds find out and your car can be confiscated.
The best thing you can do to the Fit is upgrade handling with wheels, tires, springs, and shocks. There you can get your monies worth.
