hey guys! i just got my honda fit aria/ honda city here in the philippines. since it has the same 1.3 i-dsi engine as the jazz, have you had any problems with this engine? maintenance? also, if you know any forums that focus on the city in the philippines? thanks!!! more power to fit-freak!

Anyone can correct me if i am wrong (since I do not yet even own a Fit) but one of the only repeat problems I have read about is with the CVT after 30,000 miles or so.

And even that was a simple fix.

If you have the CVT then around 30,00 miles or so some people experiance a distinct shudder in the transmission. Pretty scary, yes, but the truth of it is they just needed to have the transmission fluid changed. After that it works just fine again.

Lesson being just follow the recommended maintainance schedule, and your Fit should be just fine.

In other words-
Take care of your Fit, and it will take care of you.

 

thanks for the info volk! good thing i got a M/T version then....hehehe i hope you get your fit soon its a really nice car very economical but maintenance cost i think would be the only setback compared to the Toyota Vios but i think i really got a better deal with my Honda City because of the fetures especially the ULT seats. thanks again for the info =)
