Well over the weekend I was at the Honda dealership and I was talking to the parts guy and a tech and they were stating that we would be able to use the motor mounts for the gd's k swap on our ge's!! They said the in the engine bay, both fits have the same setup and same mounts !! The tech was saying that the only thing they changed was the suspension and body style ! How true u think that is ! They told me to pull up next to a gd and compare if I didn't believe but don't have to many friends with the gd fit! But anyway if this is the case, why hasn't this been done with the ge using the kswap gd motor mounts by hasport? Any opinions?

 

I would not take there word for it. They may be techs but they can still talk out of there ass

 

Yea that's what I thought too! I guess it doesn't hurt to see ! But whateva just was wondering if anyone looked I to it before or not !

 

If they were the same, then HASPORT would probably already have a set of GE mounts available to buy.

 

NOPE...according the brian @ hasport.....there isn;t ANY market for K-swap for fit GD or GE

and if i were to buy parts to swap ANOTHER K motor into a fit again....i would NOT buy hasport gd mounts, because all it is are some brackets, it isn't really the mount, you can say they are just ADAPTERS...u still have to use ur OEM mounts with hasport adapter to make it work..

i'd rather buy Hasports or any companies RSX mounts and build a box on the frame rail and be able to use RSX mounts.....after all...it is all one peice with the rubber bushing...not an adapter to use ur OEM bushing.
