I have a TW 09 Fit Base. Looking to pep it up a little and take on a larger project. Ive been looking at a GD trans and they are basically identical. The GD has shorter gearing......but the GE has a shorter final drive. Wondered if one could swap in a GD trans with a GE FD or a GD gear set into a GE trans with the GE FD still installed. Anyone done this? Im looking at picking up a GD MT, replacing the clutch with an Exedy and maybe a phantom grip!? Should liven up the car a little bit and with the Civic HX wheels I have now with some 185/60s........definitely make it more fun to drive. I rarely drive over 60 mph anyways so MPGs arent a big deal to me.
