Tom's Complete Gas/Mileage Records: 2009 Fit Sport

Hey all, I have been faithfully recording every fillup on my 2009 Fit Sport; From 29 Oct 2008 until 23 Apr 2011; that's 118 fillups so far. I have date, odometer, gallons, price per gallon, and calculated mpg.

Anyone who is interested in seeing/massaging the numbers can download the spreadsheet here:

filehosting.org - download page for Toms_2009_Fit_Sport_Gas_mileage_and_MPG_records.xl s

I primarily drive to work 25 miles each way in LA freeway traffic. The car has only been on one road trip CA -> CO.

If anyone is curious, I use the iPhone app called Accufuel. And no, I don't plug in numbers standing next to my open gas tank.

Enjoy!

Nice work, gilkman. I kept track for about a month... but I did manage 40.2mpg on my last tank. Pumped old tires up to 44psi and drove like my grandma.

I noticed you had a 43mpg tank... well above your average. Any recollection of why that tank was so much higher? Drive downhill for a week?

Lee: unexplained anomaly..Even the dates between fill-ups around that time frame are normal (i.e no 200-300 mile road-trip style days). Maybe summer in LA, the traffic was light, no braking every 5 secs like normal?

Thanks for the chart but that site wants an email to download the file and their privacy policy is not reassuring to me.

filehosting.org - free easy unlimited filehosting

As much as I'd like to see it, I'm thinking it's not worth the spam.

And every "net nerd" should have a separate Hotmail account just for situations like this....

I really don't get the point of a disposable email. You often have to submit it to sites that mail you a link to verify so you have to check it anyway--and thus sort through the spam for the stuff you actually have to respond to. I've had more of these emails than I can count over the years and they've been more trouble than they're worth. YMMV.

PS. Sorry for the derail. I just wanted to post the privacy policy link for anyone who might not have seen it. As you were.
