A/C ReCycled Air VS Outside Air

Hey Guys -- Another AC problem I noticed.. I in in Vegas so it does get hot up to 120 in summer and summer is coming real fast!

It seems like my air is NOT being recycled, even if I have the KNOB all the way to RECYCLE, it seems like something is not closing or switching. Any ideas?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, the recycled air lever is mechanical and you should hear a sound behind the lever as you flip it between recycle/fresh. I recall someone previously having an issue with this lever not doing anything when they flipped it and it turns out it was stuck in one position. You may have some luck searching on the forums here.

I can confirm this in my GD. I switch back and forth quite a bit and you can tell by the resistance and a sound similar to a flap closing.

It could be that part of the linkage right behind the lever somehow became undone.

I think someone did have this problem before and it was just that something got unhooked back there, so the lever wasn't really connected to anything at all.

If you can pull your radio out, you can take a look. Or you might even be able to see from behind the glove compartment.

Found it! HVAC recirc slide stuck

This is somewhere to start. Of course, if you actually hear the lever actuate, you may have a different issue.
