whats a good new clutch upgrade
I am surprised at how well the stock clutch has been holding up... It only slips if I am on full throttle before it completely engages... I'm pretty sure that the 195-55-15" Conti Pro Contact tires and their inability to hook up along with the Enkei RPF1 wheels is the reason the clutch has lasted as well as it has... Tires aren't cheap but they are a lot less effort to change out than clutches....The clutch is much more prone to slipping with the heavier wheels and larger tires that don't break loose easily that are on it now... Even with the wheel and tires spinning like crazy to over 40MPH the car accelerated better than it now does.
Funny you should ask. I just replaced mine this last weekend with a clutchmasters stage 3+. The reason i went with it is it comes with an aluminum 12lb flywheel as well (stock was 34lb) . The clutch is made by Exedy BTW. Pedal feel is a little stiffer then stock. I also did the clutch hard line at the same time. 650.00 shipped to my door, so shop around and look for promo codes for retailers.

My stock flywheel was nothing close to 34 lbs. I remember it was more in the range of 15-20 lbs unless my scale is THAT bad.
As well designed and balanced as Honda engines are and the way the revs climb when using an electronic throttle controller I would think that the flywheel weight would be lower than 34Lbs... The air cooled VW engines have massive flywheels for as small displacement they are but they could be machined on a lathe for a reasonable price. The reduction in flywheel weight on one of them that had a lot of internal engine mods was pretty impressive... I'd like to hear some feedback on what it's like to have a light flywheel in a Fit..

I just used what was in the garage. Fidanza clames 12lbs so I wanted to see how close the supplied one stacked up. I will try to weigh the stock one again with something better.
Don't worry I will do an in depth review once it's broken in (500mi). Unfortunately the slave cylinder got damaged and is leaking. I put an order in monday night for a replacement. Texas if you have not done the clutch line replacement you really should! It makes the car feel great! (probably partly the new clutch)
