Newbie-just bought a 2012 sport
Im pretty excited, waiting to take delivery on my polished metal metallic Fit Sport. Am I gonna have any issues with a child seat? I've done some research and it doesn't seem to be an issue, but I was just looking for some first-hand experiences. Thanks
I've done the forward facing with no problems, never tried rear-facing in the Fit, but i'd think it'd be tight/would have to move the front seat forward.
I know there's a thread in here dedicated to this... i'll look for it.
Edit: Here's a good one, it's for 09' Fit, but it's the same generation and the dimensions will basically be the same between your '12 and an '09

Congrats on the car.

Child seat
I have a 12 sport and a rear facing carseat.
I have it behind the driver seat and have no problems.
I'm 6' and have the seat in the farthest back postiion with a slight recline. My seat touches the carseat but doesn't take it out of the "safe" angle.
Let me know if you want pics.

I haven't done it in my car, but have had it done in my previous "econo-car." I would usually have priority in putting the seat on the right side. For two reasons.
It leaves me to put my seat where ever I want to.
And if I have to turn around or even just reach around... it's easier if the seat isn't directly behind me.

my brother with 1year old borrowed the car and had no problems strapped in a child seat to the rear middle seat (safest?)
Anyway, the comment was the relatively bumpy ride actually works better to get the little one to konk out. (compared to a longbase sedan he also had option to borrow)
