Best usage of reclining seat back

We've had our '09 Sport less than three months, and have had virtually no opportunity to seat adult friends or relatives in the back seat. My impression is that the knee room is impressive. I have also seen that the rear seat back can be put in the 'reclined' position, which seems to lean it back just a couple of inches. How much does this improve passenger comfort? Our friends are like us: a bit aged and creaky. I have personally tried out the back seat in the garage only(I am 6 foot 2), and can't decide which positioning is more comfortable for a modest to lengthy trip. What is the consensus?

I've always preferred the reclined position, myself.

The decision was easy.. Reclined.

It covers the gap between the cargo cover and rear seats. (My cargo flaps are removed).

As I noted, most of our rear seat passengers would be aged 65+, so your information, while both informative and titillating, is not applicable. Either the back seat has great legroom or that blonde is sitting in very, very close proximity. Inquiring minds want to know.

Big difference with the seat backs reclined. When you recline the seats and pull up the headrests it's actually quite a comfy place to be, even on long trips - good foot/leg space (I actually think the angled floor on top of that gas tank is like a footrest), good elbow space and good comfy seat contours.

This much space and comfort in a car slightly shorter in length than an S2000! Gotta love this car!
