Anybody wish the FIT 6-speed was available in EX-L or Ex-Lnav trim levels?

As it says, I'm just curious about the 6-speed offering and was wondering how many of you would have liked the FIT in a higher trim level paired with the 6-speed?
It seems there a fair amount of owners of the 6-speed manual. Honda feels that none of us want any premium options with our manual transmissions.
How do you feel about it?
Would you have purchased a FIT EX-L with 6-speed had it been available in that trim?
How about the EX-L w Nav with a 6-speed? Or, do us drivers of manual transmissions always know where we are going and would never need such a combination?
I'm a little older and not into tuning or Hot-rodding a vehicle. But it seems to me the Fit is quite a hot hatch and has a considerable tuner aftermarket available to this vehicle. With the exception of the Civic Si, the now mid-class Civic seems more relegated to do duty as Grandma's grocery getter.
If there is youth out there with deep pockets to be able to swap 18" wheels and turbos onto their FIT with manual transmission then there are probably some that would drop the money for leather seats and Nav and still want the DIY transmission.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes....
When I was looking to buy a car, I REALLY wanted heated seats and heated mirrors, and I REALLY wanted the M/T... In the end I settled for the EX because I wanted the manual, and I have ZERO regrets about that choice. However, the EX-L M/T would have been my ideal car. I am moving to a much colder climate and I know I will miss the heated options that came with the EX-L.
Like I said though, I love driving my M/T Fit. If I had the same choice to make today, with the same options available, I would still get the M/T over the EX-L CVT.

I live in Iowa and have had both trims in a Honda, ex-l and ex and I can say that heated leather seats are over rated. they are so damned cold when you sit on them in the winter and throwing the switch does not warm your bum instantly, I will be half way to work and just start to feel the warmth from the seat, whereas the cloth ex seat is warm from my butt heat in just a couple of minutes. heated mirrors are nice though.
currently have...
15 fit ex manual silver
07 ridgeline rtl black
91 Honda accord se with leather

After 2 weeks and a 1,000 miles I'd go CVT every time! This is my second auto ever, been driving 30 years in 4/5/6 speeds, and thought I always would. Never again. 2 automatics now that make more power, get better gas mileage, and have paddle shifters if I want to do the work....
CVT is geared lower I hear also. Super nice just made a 400 mile trip cruising 75/80mph on the toll road and loved it!
I LOVE MY FIT!

Hmmm, out of curiosity after reading an above thread, I took a look at the Honda Canada website and reviewed the FIT. Indeed you can have the FIT in an EX-L Nav trim package and get the 6-speed manual.
Strangely there no EX-L model jumps straight to EX-L Nav.
Interestingly there is a base model DX FIT available in Canada with a starting price of $14575 CD.
Looks we got screwed over here in the US. Stuff like this drives me nuts. Automakers say its not cost effective to built a handfull of vehicles this way because they is only a extremely small market for that particluar combination. They dig up stuff like this a find that they are already making it that way. Since they are already making it that combination, one would think it wouldn't cost anymore to make few for the US.

Put me down for one. I went to a lot of trouble to get the one we have. I love the MT on a little car and got the navi in order to get VSA (a package at the time). Don't think I'd get an AT Fit, but would give one a test drive, I guess. I sat in one at the dealer and really appreciated the changes.
If you look back at old posts from November of 2009, you will find that Honda built all of our SportMTnavis on US Thanksgiving weekend in '09. We got them in January. They built the whole batch at once. Guess that's why we had to order them. There certainly were none in dealer hands.
Cheers.

A torque converter acts as a power multiplier, you need to Google it and read more about it. I understand it, but can't really explain it. But automatic will put more power to the ground every time over a standard set up the exact same.
There are also mechanical designs for continuously variable transmissions and these also have the ability to multiply torque. They include the pendulum-based Constantinesco torque converter, the Lambert friction gearing disk drive transmission and the Variomatic with expanding pulleys and a belt drive.
