New Owner! Love it, but confused: Apple CarPlay
Hi there! Just bought a new 2016 LX Fit and really, really love it. I traded in my 2002 Accord which I owned for 10 years. Loved that car, but it had some problems that kept me from wanting to throw any more money into it.
So anyway, the Fit is a great car and I am having a lot of fun driving it. I am totally confused by the CarPlay button on the steering wheel, though. My iPhone 6 says that I need to press and hold the button to set it up (Bluetooth is already connected) but nothing ever happens except for the female voice demanding I say a command, which inevitably EVERY time ends with the "Pardon?" response.
I've tried almost everything, but I feel like I am missing some important info about this model Fit's CarPlay abilities (if it really has any at all).
The display is not a touch panel, since this is just an entry level LX. But, this is definitely a CarPlay button I have in the car.
Am I missing some important setup info?
Thanks for any help!

The three buttons on the steering wheel are for Bluetooth Hands Free, which works even with cheap dumb phones. Your owners manual describes how to use them. One of them, if pressed and held will activate Hands Free Siri. Neither of the Fit entertainment systems have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
