i have background in road racing motorcycles. if you want to talk scary, lets talk about nearly high siding at 60+mph.a little understeer with an evo passing me wont be the scariest thing ive ever been through.

im not sure about anyone else, but i know tyler has experience with dirt bike riding and go kart racing so i think if he decides to go, he will be fine aswell. not everything can be taught in a class room. some things you just have to get out and do.

You start off with an instructor who teaches you how to drive FAST and SAFELY around the closed circuit race course. The cost is about the same and you get about the same time driving on the track but with a experienced race driver instructor riding shotgun. The good thing is that there is also an equal amount of class room training in high speed driving.
There is nothing scarier than being on a track full of novice drivers who have no idea what they are doing. You may think you can drive, but you really have no idea what driving is until you hit the track with everyone going fast enough to kill you at any second.
I have an other issue with the track day.. The stock Fit is a slug when it comes to pushing it around a road course at 100 mph. It is a lot more fun to autox than road course the Fit....(cheeper too!)
Thats something I would be interested in doing.

November 9th ill be out in Marina again, for UFOs last AutoX event of the year.
This location out in Marina is known as one of the best in NorCal so if you have the time and have a Fit it would be great to see you out there
Autocross #13 - November 9th

The Marina venue has a good concrete surface, but the sea breeze will deposit salt on the surface and winds bring in fine sand. All together, they can make for a very slipper surface especially if you are in the early run groups. After that it becomes extremely important to stay on line.

Thanks Tool for the schedule. That airport surface is very good, but I have corded my Kumho 710s which were great for concrete.
Well, I'll still try to schedule an event there for this year. I've never run under the 510 folks, but I understand they have a good club. I need to decide on a schedule for this year.. I'll be at the Boondoggle in Oakland on Feb 1 for sure, to try out my new harness and video setup.

Nice, got a video camera setup? I want to get a GoPro Motorsport Cam! I guess I'll see TOOL/mrFroge at the various UFO/SCCA events. I'll probably be switching off every now and then, depending on where my friends want to go at the moment.

Yupp its a AT with paddles. It was originally bought for my mom, thats why it was a AT. But i quikly bought it from my parents soon after they bought it.
AT does well for AutoX, the only draw back is the slow off the line, other then that i usually just hold 2nd all the way through depending on the course.

Exclamation Off the line...

A stock Fit will give up two to three seconds to anything else in the class going from 0 to 50.. a bad launch will doom your run..
I run paddles also.. It takes a little getting use to.. ..

damn

may have to autox the fit with the paddles, they will hold to redline, just swing it. I really wanna take my accord out too, it really handles.
