I'm seriously considering being a police officer. Someone please tell me why I should or shouldn't be one.

Why do you want to be one? I applied for a few places but I want to see your reasonings why first.

First, I am 22 years old and a Junior in college (towards Business). The reason why I would want to be a police officer is because I think that it's a fun AND rewarding job. There probably is never a day that you go to work that is like another day that you had before. It would be a job where I think that I would like to go to work. Also, I went through some problems in the past with drinking and stuff, so I would like to try to help kids to realize that they don't need to do stupid stuff to have fun.

The pay isn't the best, but I think that it's enough that you could live comfortably. My goal in life is to be ABLE TO (Not that I would) buy my kid (dont have kids yet and wont for awhile) a Ferrari when he turned 16. Again, not saying that I would, but I would like to be wealthy enough that I could. Now being a COP is most likely not going to allow me to get to that point, but Im beginning to be okay with that.

If you want to help kids why not be a child counselor? You wouldn't have to risk your life day in and out in a mostly thankless job with little public support.

My Step-Dad owns the largest privately owned psychology office in Nevada and my Mom is a school counselor (just retired last week) and psychologist. If I wanted to get into psychology I would go towards working to own his business, but I like the idea of having action at work. You rarely get that with psychology, but COPS would have it most of the time.

I was just asking those questions because those are what you might get in a panel interview.

Gotcha. I'm not sure if my "action" response would be the best.

Dunno about you but I would bankrupt the police and the city. Id shoot first and ask questions later. I have no time for excuses and stupidity.

Well i guess you are all still hung over from last night or just plain tired from the week. I want to see if anyone is free around the Santa Fe Springs area today from about now 10ish till about 3ish, I want to design a set of eyelids for the Fit. It should take about 30mins to an hour to get a good concept and see what we can do with it. It will requiire you to come back next weekend probably to test fit, but when it is all said and done I will give you the first set. Let me know if anyone is down? If not thats cool too, my fit should be out of the body shop in a week or so and I can do this then.

Thanks Bryan
