Talking lookin for some advice from the socal ff's

i just got a pioneer f90bt installed in my car last week... i LOVE it... and the stock speakers sound soooo much better... but now i want to upgrade them... any suggestions on speakers? i dont want to do a whole amp/sub setup yet. i just want to upgrade the door speakers. thanks in advance!!!

i upgraded my speaker to pioneer ts-a1673r and I love them....I'm using stock HU
Pioneer TS-A1673R 6-1/2" 3-way car speakers — also fit 6-3/4" openings at Crutchfield.com

im interested in speakers as well.

was there any drilling involved or do they straight replace the stock ones?

These are great speaker to replace...I love them and I also got them on sell too!!!


Almost all aftermath speaker need to be drill b/c the stock one are clip on....

cheaper at sonic if you want the same speakers as on the crutchfield site

i hear insulation makes a world of difference. If you're trying to get more bass from your doors then some dynamat or w/e will help.. Even stock our doors vibrate like no tommorow already! As for speakers, get some decent ones but dont try and go for the best, they'll be useless without amps!

it not to hard...for 4 speakers it took me about two hours... I took my time installing.

Cool I have seen you around the forum a few times. Actually Mr.B is also here. He isn't really active anymore on the Z site (well from what I know). hehe actually I also have a Toyota Tacoma too

i'm planning to upgrade my stock door speakers for some aftermarket ones too. just searching for the right set-up. eventually i'll have a full sound system ready for the car shows.
