would never do it--you will not be happy. A car that has a sunroof from the factory is built different and these aftermarket installers cannot replicate this at all unless they weld more support members on your roof.

I agree, they cut into the car and that scares me. Mounting a spoiler is already bad enough, imagine a sunroof. *shudder*

yes, when i was checking out the FIT at a Honda dealer
i asked if i m able to get a sunroof, the sales say yes...
but is not made from Honda, but made it aftermarket at bodyshop
i m thinking should i just get it, but i think i will rather stay with no sunroof..if the job is not done well, then too much trouble

DON'T DO IT, you will regret it down the road, it migt not cause you headache at first but in a year or two---you will have creeks/clanks and possibly leakage. Non sunroof cars are not designed to have sunroofs and they never should. In addition you may get more body flex.

Is cutting the roof safe? Will it weaken the car? I know convertibales have a different frame from their roofed counterparts. I guess as long as they don't cut the support. But yeah, cutting up a new car. GG that suxs.

A non-sunroof roof is built different than and when these after market sunroof companies install the sunroofs---they do not beef up the roof the same as it would come from the factory.
