Fit Sport Automatic - availibility issues!
For those of us blessed enough to live in Canada, it seems that if you're looking for a Fit Sport w/ Automatic transmission, you shall be waiting like me!
Signed on the dotted line in the middle of April, and finally just found out tonight (after my dealer looked for any and every colour) that there are just none anywhere to be found. So he's ordering it straight from the assembly line. Build date is apparently May 10.
SO if you're looking for a Sport Automatic, you won't be getting it until at least June. Just an fyi'er.
Dealer told us when we bought it that availability wouldn't be a problem, so there ya go.
Anyhow, worth the wait, right?

There are cars out there, but due to the high demand and low supply, dealers aren't trading away Fits to other dealers. They know they can sell them if they hold onto them. As such, people like us are forced to wait on a unit to be built.
It's not a huge deal. Ultimately my wife will get the car that she wanted, she'll just have to wait a month (or more, probably).

I ordered mine in April the 4th and the dealer told me at time that I will have the car in 2 weeks.
Now it’s May 3 and I don’t have the car yet. Just called the dealer and he told me they are looking and I will have to wait. I also found out that the interest rate went up to 7.95%. Damn.

definately worth it
It is soooo worth the wait. I ordered mine before they were even released and it still took them 4wks to bring it in. I've had my Milano Red Sport Auto for just under two weeks now and I've already put 1500Kms on it. It's just really fun to drive. Some have said that it lacks a bit of power, but I haven't found that at all. Granted I've only ever driven economobiles but still...
I've had no problems with hwy passing and going faster when I needed it (160+kph). Even at that speed the engine just purrs along at 3500 RPM. I was still in the breakin period so I didn't want to push it too hard . You're gonna enjoy it I guarantee!

I just called the dealer that I ordered from. He told me the rate on the purchase order is valid for 30 days.
Due to the number of Fits on back order, they are trying to get Honda Canada to honour the rates given to people waiting for their orders to come in.
