My 1992 Integra GS-R was writen off June 2nd...
An old lady drove through a red light, I didn't even have a chance to hit the brakes.
The Teg is pretty messed up. My insurance company actually gave me a nice settlement. I’ve decided to buy it back, and get it rebuilt.
I’ve owned this car for over 8 years, and the body is incredibly clean. One of the owners of the body shop was blown away that it had the original paint, and the rear fenders were intact. They specialise in this type of accidents, but usually for high end cars like Mercedes Benz, BMW and Porsche. Was funny seeing my GS-R around a these high end cars.
Even the guys that pulled the windows were stunned.
The two owners are European, each with 25+ years of experience. They are metal artists IMO. They guarantee it will drive better than new, they will be welding all the seams shut. Considering the before/after shots I saw of one car that was being washed before delivery, I’m confident in their work.
I just need to find a mint front clip. It’s simpler than buying all the parts separately. If anyone has leads on a clean 92-93 front end, please let me know!

The house got it easy compared to the car.
Odds are they make CF fenders, I know they make CF hood for it, but not my style and I won’t tolerate a part that doesn’t "fit" correctly. If they did, I'd get them painted.
Yeah, clean 92-93 GS-Rs are getting harder and harder to find. That’s why I decided to rebuild it. So much fun to drive, and much rarer than the "steal me" ITRs that keep getting stripped for parts.

My neck, back and shoulders are messed up. I'm getting the odd headache depending on how I move. The doctors are simply pumping me with pain killers. Pisses me off. I'm the type of person that normally gets up before 6am, and crawls into bed after midnight. Since the accident I'm lucky to stay awake past 10pm (I'm fighting my sleepy eyes!!).
I went to a chiropractor yesterday, they did a bunch of tests, got me to scream like a little girl while doing simple movements, and took some x-rays. I'll be going back on Monday to see the diagnosis.
I'll be meeting the insurance adjuster tomorrow with respect to my body injuries.
To replace this GS-R, I'd have to get one from B-C or Alberta. I did find a rare gem tonight, but it's a red one, and the price is out of my reach.

It must be a sign! I found a red 1992 GS-R with 66,000kms that has never been winter driven, and was owned by an older man that's crazier about these cars than me! I'll be picking it up next Friday.

Things have been crazy for me in the past few weeks!
Here are some pictures of the red GS-R I bought. When I have a chance, I'll get some nicer shots. Personally, pictures won't do this car justice.
The underside of this Integra is unbelievable. The guys at the body shop that will be rebuilding my green one were totally shocked when they saw this one. Neither could believe how clean it was. One was looking under the car and asked if it had ever been driven in the rain. According to the previous owner, the only time he drove it in the rain is if he was caught in a freak down pour. They said the only way to find a cleaner one is if someone bought one new, drove it into a vault, sucked all the air out and left it there for 14 years!
Ontario residents that have bought a used car have an idea of how long a safety takes. Well it took 10 minutes with this Integra! They checked the lights, wipers, horn, locks then drove it on the hoist. The mechanic walked under the car twice, and lowered it. That's how clean it is!!!
It still has the OEM Honda exhaust, and likely the only part on this Integra with rust on it. Other items other than fluids that have been changed are the battery and the tires (but OEM spec tires were reinstalled). I'll be keeping this one stock, and once my green one is rebuilt, that one will be getting even more goodies! I already have a long list of maintenance I want to do to it.
Me and a buddy had a blast driving from Ottawa to Waterloo with the Fit Sport, and driving back with both cars. After 1 week of ownership, my Fit had over 2400kms on it! Both of us were VERY impressed with the Fit.
The Fit averaged 6.4L/100 kms on the 1400 kms, 680kms on 46L during the trip down, 720kms on 44L during the trip back. The AC was used for most of the trip, cruising speed was usually around 120km/h, but it did get pushed a fair bit to arrive in time.
On the trip back, the more my buddy drove the Fit, the more he liked it. The LEDs are impossible to miss at night. They make other brake lights look like parking lights. We both agreed that it has no problems accelerating at highway speeds with a bit more throttle pressure. Not put you back in your seat, but plenty to get you going 20km/h faster without trying.
I noticed that with the low fuel light on, I can pump around 33L before the gas pump would stop. With some patience, another 12L could be pumped in!

I found it by pure luck! I was surfing trader.ca and stumbled on it. I sent a money order by courrier the following day, and picked it up a week later.
This is my 3rd 1992 Integra, and they are definately fun to drive!
