Just came back from my vacation. So many GD's and GE's in the Philippines! But most of them are riced out, so sad. Didn't get to take pics too because drivers there are pretty bad. Oh well. Haha.

 

Welcome back man. Too bad no pics. But i agree some of the stuff ive seen from south east asia is really ricey. One of the worst things i saw was a lambo style body kit for the fit. Didnt work at all lol.

Btw whens your fit gunna be back on the road? I think its time to start planning for the next alberta meet!

 

Hopefully soon! As soon as the roads get cleaned up, the Fit will be coming out. Still need to order shorter springs for my front coils so I don't compromise preload, but our dollar exchange rate is waaaaaay down the drain and it hurts.

 

Yeah.. Its back in the 70s so slightly less brutal. Its a little better to the yen at least

 

If the dollar gets near the 80s again, I might order my exhaust. I know you can get more for your dollar from the Yonaka kit, but it's a little louder than I want. Still stuck on the Megan OE-RS.

Either way, the Progress RSB is going to be in my build soon. I just have to decide if I'm going to order the Goodridge brake lines. I found some on eBay for about $220 CAD (or less if the dollar goes up any more).

 

Hey new here. -Been seeing some posts around this site from users also on this thread, about car meets. Where do you guys usually meet up? Anything interesting go down ?

 

Hey! Welcome to the forum, good to have another member. Weve only met once so far and that was in south edmonton.

Were kind of scattered around, so we can just meet anywhere thats good for everyone to get to.

We are thinking about having another meet once we get back in summer mode. If we can get everyone down, i think well have 6-7 of us at the meet.

 

That's pretty sweet! I'd probably be down to go to show up. Do you ever get people to meet up in Red Deer? Kind of like a half way point for the Calgary and Edmonton drivers?

Just trying to find a Fit crew to pretty much just hangout, go to events and whatever. My current people aren't into cars. They're into diesels, so as you can imagine i stick right out. It's pretty sad. Lol

I know there are at least a couple others in calgary, but activity has really died there lately. This seems to be the only active thread in the whole canada section sadly.

 

i would travel from saskatoon for a meet. Hope the date will be a day off from work.

I'm looking for a sport body kit for GD. By any chance somebody here knows where i can get them from alberta? Maybe a parts car or a wrecker?

I got no luck finding them in Saskatchewan.

I was on the search for a sport lip kit last year, no luck even with the wreckers here so I just decided to keep mine as a base model. I really didn't need the lip kit, just wanted it for looks. Haha.

 

No idea where to find that in alberta. But you might have luck with truefitcrew on facebook. Ive seen a lot of gds with nice body kits.

 

Still on kyb struts and tanabe springs. No plans on switching to coilovers haha. There was a wrecker in manitoba that has 2 sport models but he doesn't wanna sell me the body kit i think he preffer selling it to locals.
